Camellia cutting mechanism

When propagating camellia, you must choose suitable cuttings, which generally need to be well-nourished and grow healthily. This requires branch cultivation during the process of camellia cultivation.

In mid-May, you can cut branches for cuttings. The climate and branch growth at this time are more suitable for camellia cuttings.

From the relatively strong young mother plant, cut suitable branches, generally about 6-10 cm in length, preferably with 2/3 nodes, and then place the branches in a cool and ventilated place. When processing branches, generally the upper and lower ends are trimmed, leaving only 1-2 leaves.

When taking cuttings, you can choose the water-based root induction method and transplant them after they take root.

1. Choose the right branches and cut them off;

2. Remove the leaves from the end of the camellia branch where it will take root, leaving only 1-2 leaves on the branch.

3. Disinfect the branches, apply some carbendazim to the wound, and then place them in a cool and ventilated place to dry;

4. Then insert the branches into a container of water, making sure to keep it moist;

5. After cuttings, roots will generally take 2 weeks to form.
