The efficacy and function of Radish

The role of radish:

1. The whole plant can be used as a Chinese herbal medicine to treat a variety of diseases.

2. The stems and bark can be used to make artificial cotton.

3. Its shell can be used to hold various things, even liquids. The ancients used it to hold water, rice, etc.

The efficacy and usage of Radish:

To treat symptoms of vomiting blood and weakness: take 3 liang of Schisandra chinensis, 3 liang of Platycladus orientalis, 3 liang of Rehmanniae glutinosae, and 3 liang of Radix Angelicae Pubescentis, and mash them into powder. Drink it with water before meals.

To treat symptoms of impotence: Take three grams of Curculigo root, three grams of Epimedium root, and three grams of Radix Codonopsis pilosulae root, boil them in clear water, and drink it once a day.

To treat edema symptoms of nephritis: take one or two grams of radish roots, boil them with water, and drink it once a day.

To treat tuberculosis: Take the root of Radix Codonopsis pilosula, rinse it with clean water, stew it with chicken until the chicken is soft, and then eat it.

To treat scrofula: Take 7 qian to 1 liang of Radix Codonopsis root, boil it with water, drink it once a day, and add sweet wine each time you drink it.

To treat symptoms of malnutrition in children: Take an appropriate amount of Radish Stems and Leaves, crush them into powder, take one to two qian each time, and take it with sugar.

To treat injuries, unbearable pain, broken skin and bleeding: take an appropriate amount of Radix Angelicae Pubescentis, add water and mash it, then apply it to the affected area.

PS. The roots and stems of radish contain certain toxins, which can cause poisoning if taken in excess.
