What is the difference between the large-leaved umbrella and the Schefflera arborvitae

What is the difference between the large-leaved umbrella and the Schefflera arborvitae

Differences in plant appearance:

This is also the most obvious difference between the two plants. The umbrella plant can grow up to 40 meters in height; a branch can have up to 16 leaves, but when the plant is smaller, it can have 3 to 5 leaves, and when it is slightly larger, it can have 9 to 12 leaves; the leaf length is about 20cm to 30cm, the width is about 10cm, and the leaf shape is oval. The leaf stems are 5 to 10 cm long; the fruits of the large-leaved umbrella are purple-red when ripe.

Schefflera can grow up to 15 meters in height; the twigs are very thick, and one branch can have up to 11 leaves, which are about 9 cm to 17 cm long and 3 cm to 5 cm wide, and are also long and oval; the fruit of Schefflera is black.

Differences in plant growth environments:

The best temperature for the umbrella plant is between 20 and 30 degrees.

Schefflera likes to grow in semi-shade, and the best temperature is between 16 and 27 degrees, but it has relatively high temperature requirements. The best temperature from March to September is between 21 and 27 degrees, and the best temperature from September to March of the following year is between 16 and 21 degrees.

Differences in origin:

The origin of the umbrella tree is Australia, and the largest planting area in my country is the tropical regions in the south.

The origin of Schefflera arborvitae is Guangdong, China, Oceania and other places, and it is now planted in most parts of my country.

In fact, as long as you observe carefully, it is not difficult to distinguish these two plants. Flower lovers should observe more often.
