1. Temperature

The Fairy Cave Monstera is suitable for growing in warm places, and prefers high temperatures. It usually grows better in an environment of 20-30℃. However, its cold resistance is very weak. The minimum temperature in winter cannot be lower than 10℃, otherwise it will easily be frostbite.

2. Lighting

The Fairy Cave Monstera is very shade-tolerant, but still afraid of direct sunlight. If direct sunlight lasts for 1-2 hours, the leaves will be burned. Usually in summer, you need to provide shade and place it in a semi-shaded place to receive scattered light. In this way, the leaves of the plant will be very green and shiny, but if they do not receive light, they will develop poorly.

3. Watering

The Fairy Cave Monstera prefers water. During the growing period, it is necessary to provide sufficient water to keep the soil moist, but there should be no stagnant water, otherwise it will inhibit the respiration of the roots. Especially in the rainy season, the plants need to be drained in time after being rained on. In addition, due to the lower temperature in winter, the demand for water is reduced, so it can be appropriately dry.

4. Fertilization

The Fairy Cave Monstera does not require much fertilizer, and usually topdressing once a month during the growing season is sufficient. Fertilizers are usually nitrogen-based, which promotes the growth of branches and leaves. If the plant lacks fertilizer, the stems and leaves will turn yellow and the holes on the leaves will decrease. But if you apply too much, it will cause it to grow too tall and affect its appearance.

5. Repotting

The Fairy Cave Monstera generally requires a flowerpot with a diameter of 15-20 cm, which can hold 3-4 plants. It needs to be repotted every 1-2 years and replanted with loose and fertile soil. If you prepare it yourself, you usually choose peat soil, leaf mold, coarse sand, etc.
