Oil bean planting technology and management

Oil bean planting technology and management

When planting oil beans, it is necessary to prepare warm and dry climatic conditions and sufficient sunlight. It is afraid of frost and cannot tolerate heat. It is suitable for planting in loam or sandy loam. It can be planted in greenhouses, sheds, and open fields.

Oil bean planting technology

1. Temperature:

When planting oil beans, the temperature should be controlled at around 18-26 degrees. The water requirement for germination of bean seeds is 100%-110% of their own weight, and the soil moisture is 60%-70% of the field water holding capacity. However, drought should be avoided during the pod stage to avoid falling flowers and pods.

2. Disinfection:

When planting, mix the seeds with chloranil wettable powder to disinfect the seeds, thereby killing the anthracnose bacteria on the surface of the seeds. Before sowing, soak the seeds in room temperature water for about 8 hours to germinate, so that the radicle breaks through the seed coat.

3. Moisture:

During planting, increasing the supply of organic matter can promote rapid growth of the plant and increase the number of flowers and pods. However, if there is sufficient water, excessive water supply will cause the stems and leaves to grow too long, and the flowers and pods to fall off.

Snap bean management methods

1. Strengthen management:

After planting beans, it is necessary to manage fertilizer and water to promote the formation of yields in order to achieve high yields. Generally, inter-cultivation should be carried out in time after the seedlings emerge to promote the rooting of the plants and their healthy growth. After sufficient base watering, watering is generally not required during the seedling stage. Appropriate watering can be applied when the weather is dry.

2.Appropriate topdressing:

After the plants have sprouted, the first topdressing should be carried out. 10kg-15kg of ammonium sulfate or 500kg of human manure can be applied per 667 square meters. After fertilization, the soil should be cultivated once, and then racks can be inserted or the vines can be hung with plastic ropes.
