The Flower Language of Plumeria

The Flower Language of Plumeria

Frangipani is not the frangipani that we eat after breaking the egg, but a real flower. Each flower is composed of five petals, simple and ordinary like your life.

The Flower Language of Plumeria

The frangipani blooms from May to October. It has no mysterious legends, elegant temperament, or noble fragrance, but it has a very simple appearance - its five petals form a fresh and hopeful flower language: nurturing hope and resurrection.

Frangipani is like our life, mostly dull, but we always hold on to beautiful hopes for the future, and we never give up the dreams in our hearts.

The meaning of plumeria

In Xishuangbanna, my country and some Southeast Asian countries, frangipani is designated as one of the "five trees and six flowers" by Buddhist temples and is widely planted, so it is also called "temple tree" or "pagoda tree". Plumeria is the best specialty dish that the enthusiastic Dai people in Xishuangbanna use to entertain guests.

In the tropical tourist destination of Hawaii, people like to string the picked frangipani flowers into wreaths to wear as decorations, so frangipani is also a symbol of Hawaiian festivals.

The legend of plumeria

Legend has it that the frangipani was an angel before reincarnation. Because love violated the laws of heaven, he fled to the southern country on earth. However, how can one escape if one has offended the majesty of heaven? That day on the Tianzhu Rock of Qixingyan, it wrapped its beloved love token - a yellow ribbon - tightly around its white wings for the last time. Then use a pebble-to-stone method to hit the rock.

God was also moved by her, and at the place where she committed suicide, a magical tree grew, with egg-shaped flowers in varying shades of yellow and white. From then on, in the south, every season of love suicide, the ground was blooming with magical flowers.
