Editor's suggestion

Beautiful flowers and ornamental plants such as Begonia rubrum, Impatiens iris, Centella asiatica (Silver-edged Emerald), Osmanthus fragrans, Ficus microcarpa, Fireweed and Kirin crown. The carcinogenic effects of these plants have been confirmed in studies on nasopharyngeal carcinoma and esophageal cancer.

The fragrance of some plants and flowers is too strong, such as tuberose and five-color plum. It is unbearable to be surrounded by such smell for a long time. Even for famous fragrant flowers such as daffodils and roses, the fragrance is pleasant at first, but after a long time, especially when sleeping, breathing these scents will become unbearable...

There are also some plants such as poinsettia, poppy, oleander and red hibiscus, which emit toxic odors and frequent contact is more harmful to the human body. Even some flowers and plants that have therapeutic effects on humans are not good for health if they are kept in close contact with healthy people day and night.

Botanists have determined that Dieffenbachia contains some toxic enzymes (commonly known as dumb stick enzymes). The juice from its stems and leaves is highly irritating if it comes into contact with the skin. If a baby accidentally bites it, it will cause throat edema due to strong irritation to the oral mucosa, and even paralysis of the vocal cords and loss of voice. Therefore, people call the evergreen "dumb stick" and there is a saying that "the flower is beautiful, but the poison is hard to bear."
