Method of converting soil culture to hydroponics of fortune tree

Method of converting soil culture to hydroponics of fortune tree

Time and material selection

Spring and autumn are the most suitable seasons. Select a small money tree that is growing relatively sturdily in soil and dig out the whole plant.

Pre-treatment

Before hydroponics, be careful to rinse off all the soil on the roots to minimize damage to the roots. In addition, cut off all the original soil roots on the root neck, and then soak them in 500-600 times diluted polychlorinated fungus solution for about 10-20 minutes to kill some bacteria, and then rinse with clean water. In addition, some of the old leaves at the bottom of the plant should also be cut off.

Hydroponics method

After the money tree is dried, place it in a hydroponic planting basket, fix it with pebbles or the like, and then you can cultivate it. Be careful not to use too much water, just about one-third of the vase is enough. Before rooting, you can change the water every 3 days. After rooting, you don’t need to change the water. After the evaporation of water decreases, you can add water directly to the vase.

Hydroponics Management

Be sure to maintain the indoor temperature, preferably between 16-26℃. Do not place it in colder places such as balconies in winter, otherwise it may cause the death of the plant. Although the hydroponic Psoralea corylifolia is usually maintained indoors, it still requires a certain amount of light, otherwise it will cause yellow leaves, so it should be placed in a bright and ventilated place. In addition, in order to make it grow better, you can apply professional fertilizer once a month, or add a few drops of dissolved vitamin C1 when adding water.
