How to hydroponically cultivate pink palm

Select pot

Choose a flowerpot according to the size of the pink cactus, but using a larger flowerpot for hydroponics has many advantages. While cultivating the pink cactus, you can also raise a few small fish, which is both beautiful and symbiotic, not bad. In addition, it is best to use a translucent flower pot.

Basin

After digging the pink palm out of the soil in the pot, remember to remove the rotten roots, hairy roots, etc., and then wash it thoroughly with clean water. You can disinfect it in a potassium permanganate solution and then wash it with clean water.

Carefully place the pink palm into the pot. You can put some expanded clay as a substrate, which can not only fix the plant but also maintain its normal breathing. Then add water, just half or 2/3, to ensure normal breathing.

If you choose a transparent glass container as a flower pot, it is best to cover it with a black plastic bag to prevent strong light. Covering it with a transparent bag can also help keep it warm and moisturized. Then place it in a place with scattered light, and it is best to keep the temperature above 10 degrees.

Water changes

Be sure to change the water frequently during the acclimation period. In the first half month, you can change the water every three days, and in the next half month, change it once a week. Every time you change the water, you need to add nutrient solution specially for hydroponic flowers. Don’t add nutrient solution at the beginning, but it is okay to add rooting powder. In this way, new roots will grow out after a month and will gradually adapt to the water environment.

After acclimation, there is no need to change the water so frequently. Generally, you need to change the water when you see a lot of impurities in the water. Remember to clean the flowerpot every once in a while. At this time, do not keep adding nutrient solution, otherwise the water will be too nutritious, and microorganisms will reproduce faster, which is not conducive to plant growth.

It is relatively simple to grow pink anthuriums in water, and it is very clean and pleasing to the eye. I hope the above method can help you grow the perfect pink anthurium.
