How to Grow Hydroponic Plants

How to Grow Hydroponic Plants

There are many ways to grow hydroponics, let’s take a look…

Glass bottle hydroponics

This is the simplest form of hydroponics. Just place a branch in a glass bottle filled with clean water. In just 1-2 weeks, you can witness the magical scene of plants taking root in water. When the bottle is only half full, it's time to refill. In addition, the water should be changed at least once a month.

Portable glass bottle with charcoal

Glass bottles for coffee or scented tea are generally more beautiful. We can put a few pieces of charcoal in the water to save the trouble of frequent water changes and achieve the effect of purifying the water quality. Remember to refill the bottle when the amount of water decreases!

Clay pot soil and water mixing

Hydroponics can also be combined with soil cultivation. Spread the soil at the bottom of the clay pot and add an appropriate amount of clean water. This way, the rich nutrients in the soil will better help the plants grow. The plant most suitable for cultivation in this way is the pennywort. The vitality of the pennywort is very strong and it can grow exponentially in just a few days. Remember to refill the tank when the amount of clean water decreases.

Matching of tea cups and white stones

Perhaps you have a few teacups at home that are a pity to throw away but boring to use? Now is when they come in handy. Containers with larger openings, like teacups, are great for growing hydroponic plants. To prevent the plant from falling over, it is best to put some white stones at the bottom of the cup. Remember to refill the cup as the amount of water decreases.

The combination of plastic cup and crystal soil

Crystal soil is a new type of soil that is rich in water and nutrients. When dry, it is only the size of a millet, but after soaking it will become many times larger. The "crystal mud" and "colored soil" sold on the market are all crystal soil. This kind of soil is similar to clean water in usage. There is no need to water it normally. Just clean the soil around the roots of the plants before planting and remember to spray some water with a sprayer every day to keep the soil surface moist. However, one thing you need to pay special attention to is not to allow water to accumulate at the bottom for a long time.

Hydroponic bulb plants

Bulbous plants that we are familiar with, such as tulips and hyacinths, are very suitable for hydroponics. The prices of hydroponic bulb plants on the market are very expensive. For the sake of our wallet, we can buy soil-grown ones and then process them into hydroponics at home. Remember to place hydroponic bulbous plants in a cool and ventilated place.
