The hydroponic method of Dieffenbachia

Ecological habits of Dieffenbachia

Dieffenbachia is native to Brazil in South America. It likes warm, humid and semi-shady environment. It is not cold-resistant, afraid of drought, and avoids strong sunlight exposure. Dieffenbachia can tolerate 14 days in darkness and can be stored and transported at 15°C and 90% relative humidity.

Water cultivation techniques for Dieffenbachia

1. After water cultivation, be sure to place it in conditions with bright scattered light. If the light is too strong, the leaf surface will become rough, the leaf edges and leaf tips will easily become scorched, or even a large area will be burned; if the light is too weak, the yellow-white patches will turn green.

2. Maintain the ambient humidity at 80% and spray water on the leaves frequently. If you do not spray water for a long time, the leaves will become rough and lose their luster.

3. In hot summer, use clean water and increase the frequency of water changes.

4. Spraying foliar fertilizer can make the leaves bright.
