How to use lucky bamboo for bonsai shaping

How to use lucky bamboo for bonsai shaping

1. Jungle Bonsai

The jungle-style bonsai has a simple shape, with about 10 to 15 lucky bamboos in a flowerpot. It does not require long-term care, just regularly cut off the old leaves, dense branches, and weak branches. After orientation, the green and shiny nodes are exposed, which can enhance the ornamental value.

2. Bottle bonsai

Cut the stems of lucky bamboo (about 20 cm long). The number of stems depends on the size of the bottle, usually 3 to 5 branches. ) Plant the cuttings in a hanging bottle with water about 5 cm deep. Add water every few days to replenish the evaporated water. Usually placed in a cool and ventilated place indoors. Can be enjoyed for a long time.

3. "Pillar" bonsai

If the living room is large, you can place a pot of lucky bamboo at each of the two opposite corners of the living room. Do not move or trim it, and allow it to grow freely. Gradually, the lucky bamboo can grow to more than 1 meter and form a green "pillar" with a unique flavor.

4. “Pagoda” Bonsai

First, cut the top buds of lucky bamboo into different lengths, namely 16cm, 13cm, 10cm, and 7cm, and prepare 11, 18, 23, and 36 branches respectively. When assembling, first take a plastic cylinder 16 cm long and 2.5 cm in diameter as the center of the pagoda, then arrange 11 stems 16 cm long with their lower ends on the same plane in a circle along the outside of the plastic cylinder, and tie them tightly with plastic wire to form the fourth layer of the pagoda; then take 18 stems each 13 cm long, with their lower ends on the same plane and arranged along the outside of the fourth layer of the pagoda to form the third layer of the pagoda; then form its second and first layers in turn. The pagoda lucky bamboo is ready. Note that the lucky bamboo pagoda needs to be pruned frequently to ensure that the buds at each layer are even, otherwise it will lead to too dense branches and leaves, disordered tree shape, unbalanced proportions, and unclear layers.
