What to do if the fuchsia buds fall off

What to do if the fuchsia buds fall off

In fact, bud dropping is not a big problem for you. It’s just that you didn’t pay attention to some small details during the maintenance process. See if you have paid attention to the following?

The temperature should be suitable

The suitable growth temperature for fuchsia is 10℃~28℃. Even in summer, try to control the temperature not to exceed 30℃. If the temperature is too high, you need to cool it down appropriately and ventilate it in time, otherwise it will easily cause leaves, flowers and buds to fall.

The soil in the pot should be moderately dry and wet

Water also has a great impact on the blooming of fuchsia. If the potting soil is not watered in time, the soil will be too dry, causing the flower buds to shrink and fail to bloom. On the contrary, if watering is too frequent and the soil is too wet, it will also cause buds and flowers to fall off.

Adequate lighting

Many flower lovers will ensure that the plants get sufficient sunlight before flowering, but will be cautious and reduce the sunlight after flowering. This is a wrong practice. During the growing period, potted fuchsias should be placed in a sunny place for cultivation. Even when flowering, sufficient sunlight must be ensured, otherwise the development and flowering of the buds will be affected due to insufficient light.

Pay attention to fertilization

Fuchsia grows rapidly and needs sufficient nutrients to ensure long-lasting and repeated flowering. If there is a lack of fertilizer during the growth process, the flower buds will grow poorly, it will be difficult to bloom, and they will fall halfway. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to timely fertilization during the growth period.

Pay attention to pest control

The flowering period of fuchsia is also its most vulnerable period. If it is affected by diseases and insect pests at this time, spraying pesticides will affect the flowering effect. Therefore, it is necessary to spray fungicides in time before flowering to prevent it. If pests and diseases appear during flowering, bud fall is inevitable. Be sure to spray pesticides in time. At this time, don’t worry about the flowering effect, just kill the insects as soon as possible!
