How to hydroponically cultivate Schefflera arborvitae? Is hydroponics or soil cultivation better?

1. How to hydroponically cultivate

1. Rooting of branches: Cut semi-lignified branches from old plants, with 2-3 nodes and a length of about 10 cm. Keep 1-2 leaves on the upper part and cut off the leaves on the lower part. After processing the branches, you can place the lower part of the branches in a container of water and keep the temperature at around 15 degrees Celsius. It will take about 10 days for the branches to take root, and after a month the roots will have grown steadily. After the branches have taken root, they can be cultivated and cared for in water as usual.

2. Plant hydroponics: Schefflera arborvitae can also be grown in soil and then in hydroponics. Take the plant out of the soil, clean the roots with clean water, trim the roots, and leave a healthy taproot so that it can absorb nutrients in the water. Prepare a transparent container and move the plant into it so that the water level just covers half of the roots. Pay attention to changing the water regularly and provide soft, bright sunlight. To promote growth, you can add nutrient solution. If you take good care of it, it will grow well.

2. Hydroponics or soil cultivation?

Schefflera can be grown in water or soil. It is impossible to say which method is better. You can choose according to your needs. Hydroponics looks beautiful and is highly ornamental, and can save some steps in watering and fertilizing. Soil culture is more stable and has sufficient nutrient supply.
