Why doesn't Monstera bloom?

Why doesn't Monstera bloom?

1. Not enough years

Monstera can bloom, but it is rarely seen in real life. Generally, small Monstera cultivated at home need to be cared for for 5 to 6 years before it can bloom. If it does not bloom at home, it is probably because it has not been cultivated for enough time. It needs careful care and normal maintenance conditions to ensure good growth. When it reaches the growth period, it may bloom.

2. Flowering season has not yet arrived

Because it usually does not bloom and its flowering is seldom seen, some people do not know the exact time when it blooms. The flowers have not bloomed yet, it may be that the flowering period has not yet arrived. The normal flowering time is from August to September. It is possible to see the flowers during this period, which can last for about 2 months.

3. Low temperature

It likes to grow in warm places. If it is grown in the northern region with a relatively cold climate, it will be more difficult for it to bloom. The temperature needs to be maintained within a suitable range to promote the opening of flowers.

4. Insufficient nutrients

Flowering requires the support of nutrients. If there is a lack of nutrients, it will be difficult for the flowers to bloom. Fertilizers need to be given reasonably, especially phosphorus and potassium fertilizers before flowering.
