Can the fortune tree survive if its trunk becomes soft?

1. Can I still live?

If the trunk of the money tree has become completely soft, the bark has turned black, and brown liquid flows out when you press hard on its stem, then it is basically impossible to save it. But if its trunk has only become soft, the bark has not turned black but is still green, and the xylem is normal and disease-free, then it may still be possible to save it.

2. How to save

1. Pruning and disinfection: This problem occurs mostly because it is infected by bacteria. So to save it, you must first remove it from the pot and cut off its roots and branches that have already rotted black. In addition, if the upper part of the plant's stem also becomes soft, you can saw it off directly. After cutting, apply some wood ash on all the cut ends.

2. Replanting and cultivation: Prepare some high-quality flower soil, put it in the pot, and plant the plants in it. After that, place it in a place with good ventilation, a temperature of about 20℃, and relatively soft light. Spray it with fungicide every 2-3 days and wait for it to take root and grow again.
