According to the specific conditions of the variety, shape, specification and color of the plant materials to be hydroponically cultivated, choose a container that can complement the variety of flowers and trees. They are usually transparent bottles, basins, and jars.

Soil removal

Choose a healthy one-year-old shrub plant, dig it out of the soil or gently pour it out of the flowerpot. First, lift the stem lightly with your right hand, and gently support the root system with your left hand. Then use your right hand to gently shake it, and slowly pat it to make the soil at the roots fall off and expose the entire root system.

Root washing

According to the growth of the flower root system, appropriately cut off the old roots, diseased roots and old and yellow leaves.

Soak in clean water for 15-20 minutes, then gently wash the roots with your hands. Change the water 2-3 times until the roots are completely free of soil and the water for washing the roots is clear and transparent without any mud or sand.

Sterilize the roots. After cleaning the roots, prepare a 0.1% potassium permanganate aqueous solution, place it in a plastic or enamel pot, soak it for 10-15 minutes, then wash it in clean water and then plant it.

Hydroponic cultivation

Straighten the roots of the Everbright City and carefully place them in a container. To prevent the plant from standing upright, fix the mouth of the bottle with stones or pebbles. Then pour 2/3 of water into the bottle, making sure to stretch the roots.

Post-planting care

Move the container to a cool, sheltered place, change the water every 2-3 days, and add appropriate nutrient solution. If there are rotten roots, they should be removed in time. In about a month, new white and thick roots will sprout.

Precautions

The first thing to note is that the roots of the plants cannot be completely immersed in water. The roots need to be exposed to the air for 5 to 10 centimeters. In this way, even if the roots immersed in water cannot absorb oxygen, the roots exposed to the air can replenish oxygen.

Secondly, change the water frequently to maintain the dissolved nutrients in the water.

Again, the composition of the nutrient solution for hydroponics should be appropriate and the concentration should not be too high!
