How to remedy the wilting of green radish

How to remedy the wilting of green radish

1. Watering in time

Lack of water is the most likely cause of wilting of the green radish. Since the water demand is different in different seasons, if the plant is watered according to the amount of water in autumn and winter during the growing season, it will easily lead to water shortage. Therefore, you need to check the dryness of the soil at all times and add water immediately when it is dry.

2. Increase fertilizer

Insufficient nutrients can also easily cause the green radish to wilt. Especially during the growing season, apply compound fertilizer every two weeks. This will make the plant grow lush and the leaves green and shiny. Before winter, applying inorganic fertilizer once every 15 days will help survive the winter.

3. Increase the temperature

The low temperature causes frostbite on the green radish, causing it to wilt. It must be kept at least above 10℃ in winter, otherwise it will easily grow poorly. At the same time, we must avoid problems caused by large temperature differences between day and night, and need to keep it indoors for a long time.

4. Proper lighting

Although the green radish is a shade-loving plant, it will wilt if it is not exposed to sunlight for a long time. In winter and spring, when the light is relatively soft, the green radish can still be placed in the sun to dry, which is also beneficial to its photosynthesis.

5. Improve soil quality

The most easily overlooked issue is soil quality. Green radish is suitable for growing in acidic soil. If you do not pay attention to the alkalinity effect of water and fertilizer on the soil, it will easily wilt. You can add ferrous sulfate when watering to improve the pH of the soil.
