Reasons why the buds of Kalanchoe wilt and shrink

Reasons why the buds of Kalanchoe wilt and shrink

1. Nutrient deficiency

During maintenance, when flower buds grow but begin to wilt and shrink after a period of time, it may be that nutrients are not applied in time and there are not enough nutrients supplied for growth, which will affect the flower buds and cause them to shrink. You can increase nutrients and add some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to make the flower buds plump and full.

2. Temperature drops

During maintenance, low surrounding temperatures will also affect the growth of flower buds, or if the plant is suddenly hit by cold winds, the plant will not be able to withstand it and the flower buds will have problems, causing them to wilt and shrink. In this case, you should observe the weather conditions more and pay attention to temperature changes. If the temperature is not stable in early spring or late autumn, you can move it indoors for maintenance.

3. Improper watering

Every time I watered, the amount of water was not controlled well, resulting in incomplete watering. A large amount of water accumulated at the bottom of the pot, and the root's function of transporting water was impaired, which would cause problems for the flower buds. Pay attention to the application of water. Water thoroughly each time and wait until the soil is completely dry before watering again.
