How to grow Rainbow Jade Brocade and what to do if leaves fall off

1. Breeding methods

1. Adequate light: Rainbow Jade is a succulent plant, and its growth cannot be separated from sufficient light. If the environment is dark, the plant cannot carry out photosynthesis and may also grow too tall. Normally, it should be placed in a sunny place, and in summer it needs appropriate shade to prevent the plant from being exposed to the sun and causing the leaves to become waterlogged.

2. Suitable temperature: Rainbow Jade is a spring and autumn type species. It grows faster in the mild spring and autumn. Too high or too low temperature is not conducive to its development. The temperature should be controlled between 10-28℃. If the temperature is too high in summer, you need to spray water to cool it down. Winter is quite cold, so be sure to keep warm and ensure that the room temperature is no lower than 5℃.

3. Proper watering: Rainbow Jade grows relatively slowly and has good drought resistance, so it does not need frequent watering. Too much water can easily cause root rot. Water should be given appropriately at ordinary times, usually after the soil is dry, to ensure that there is not too much water. In addition, watering should be reduced in summer and winter because the plant is in a dormant state.

4. Supplementary fertilizer: Rainbow Jade needs a certain amount of fertilizer during its growth process, but it does not like too much fertilizer, so fertilization does not need to be too frequent. Usually it is enough to fertilize once a month, and the fertilizer needs to be fully diluted before application to ensure that the concentration of the fertilizer is low so as not to burn its root system. Stop fertilizing during the dormant period to avoid fertilizer damage.

2. What to do if leaves fall off

There are many reasons why the rainbow jade plant may drop its leaves. If the environment is dark, you need to increase the light, but avoid direct sunlight. If it is because of too much moisture, the excess water needs to be drained and good ventilation is maintained. If it is caused by pests and diseases, the diseased parts need to be cut off and sprayed with pesticides to kill the pests.
