What to do if fuchsia drops leaves

What to do if fuchsia drops leaves

1. Temperature

We need to control the temperature it is in, because it actually has temperature requirements. Generally speaking, the normal growth temperature is between fifteen and twenty-five degrees. If it exceeds this range, abnormal phenomena are likely to occur. For example, if the temperature reaches thirty degrees in summer, it will enter semi-dormancy, and in winter it will also do so below five degrees. In addition, it may also lose its leaves.

Therefore, if the temperature we give it is not suitable for it and we find that it has dropped leaves, we should adjust the temperature to the range that it can adapt to.

2. Moisture

Generally speaking, we should grasp the time to water it. In winter and when there is sufficient rain, it only needs to be watered once every two or three days, and in autumn or hot weather, once a day. If it enters semi-dormancy in summer, we must strictly control the water, otherwise the leaves will easily fall off.

If this phenomenon is caused by too much or too little water, we can just prescribe the right remedy. If there is too much rain, we can put it in a rainless place. If this is not possible, we must pour out the water in the pot in time. If the waterlogging is more serious, you can sprinkle some charcoal crumbs on the soil. Don't water too frequently after that. Wait until it is dry before watering normally.

3. Lighting

Because the environment it likes still requires sunlight, so if there is less light, the leaves will fall off. However, too much light can also cause this problem.

If it is sunburned, we must move it to a cool place. Of course, we should not water it easily before the heat dissipates, otherwise there will be more serious consequences. In addition, we can take some preventive measures in advance. For example, we can place it in a well-ventilated and cool place during the day, and we can place it under a tree at night. In addition, we can also put it in a larger basket or box and put some soft soil around it to prevent it from being exposed to the sun.

4. Fertilization

It also needs fertilizer. If there is not enough fertilizer, it will lose leaves, so we also need to apply fertilizer to it.
