1. Excessive watering

If you always water it with a lot of water, its roots will easily rot, which will affect its absorption of nutrients and water, resulting in the leaves not getting enough nutrients and water, and then turning black.

Solution: If there is still water in the soil, you need to remove the plant from the soil, cut off the rotten roots, and plant it in new soil. If the situation is minor, you need to put it on the balcony to dry. After that, you need to pay attention to the frequency and amount of water replenishment, not too much.

2. Soil formation

If the soil is not loosened for a long time, it will clump together and affect the plant's ability to absorb nutrients from the soil. This will result in no leaves growing below the main trunk of the plant and the leaves above turning black.

Solution: You can prepare soil with humus yourself. Crush the red soil without stones and sand, add some rotten vegetable leaves, put it in a bag, and add some water to ferment. This kind of soil is much better than ordinary soil, because after fermentation, the red soil becomes cooked soil, which is not only sufficient in nutrients, but also soft and breathable, making it more suitable for planting. In addition, you should change to a larger pot and add some fresh soil without damaging the original soil ball.

3. Leaf spot

If its leaves turn black, another possibility is that it is diseased. If it has leaf spot disease, the spots will be brown at the beginning, and a green and yellowish halo will appear around them. Then they will expand into a circle and turn dark brown, and later they will turn into small black dots, so the leaves will turn black.

Solution: If there are fewer spots, you can apply Daknin cream on them and cut off the branches with more spots. Then spray with carbendazim once every 7-10 days. If the condition is more serious, spray again four days after the first spray, and then spray once a week for a total of three or four times, and the effect will be very good.
