Causes and treatments for yellowing leaves of pearl bush

Causes and treatments for yellowing leaves of pearl bush

1. Overwatering

Cause: Excessive watering is one of the main reasons for yellowing leaves of pearl bush. Because Pearl Bush likes a humid growing environment, it is easy to overwater it and water will easily accumulate in the pot. If the plant is kept in a waterlogged pot for a long time, the roots will not be able to breathe properly, causing the leaves to turn yellow.

Solution: You need to loosen the soil of the plant first, then place it in a ventilated place to allow excess water in the pot to evaporate quickly. When watering daily, you can observe whether the soil in the pot is dry. If the soil is dry, just water it. This will reduce the occurrence of yellow leaves.

2. Insufficient light

Reason: Pearl bush is shade-tolerant, but also likes the sun. When there is a lack of light for a long time, its leaves will turn yellow.

Solution: Place the plant in a sunny and well-ventilated place and wait for it to recover. In addition, you can spray the plants with water or place a few pots of water next to the plants to increase the humidity of the air. This can effectively alleviate the problem of yellowing or drying of pearl bush leaves.

3. Temperature is too low

Reason: It has very strong cold resistance and can generally grow at minus 25 degrees Celsius. But in some places where the temperature is too low, the leaves of the pearl bush will turn yellow.

Solution: Move the flowers to a milder place indoors and allow them to slowly resume growth.

4. Iron deficiency

Cause: When plants lack growth elements, their leaves will also show signs of yellowing. When pearl bush lacks iron or other elements, its leaves will turn yellow.

Solution: You can put a certain amount of compound fertilizer or minerals in the soil to replenish the various growth elements that have been lost.
