Why do the leaves of the thorn tree curl up?

Why do the leaves of the thorn tree curl up?

1. Temperature problem

(1) Reason: This plant likes to grow in warm places, so if the temperature conditions do not meet its requirements, its leaves may become curled. However, there are two different issues regarding temperature. The first is that the temperature is too high; the second is the exact opposite, that the temperature is too low.

(2) Solution: Regardless of whether the temperature is high or low, we have to adjust the temperature to a range suitable for its growth. Generally speaking, the daytime temperature range is best between 21℃-28℃; the nighttime range is best between 18℃-21℃. In addition, the maximum temperature cannot exceed 35℃; the minimum temperature cannot be lower than 10℃. By doing this, the curling of leaves may be alleviated.

2. Humidity problem

(1) Cause: If the air humidity is lower than 50%, leaf curling may also occur.

(2) Solution: The air humidity should be controlled at 75%-85%. If it is too wet, then ventilate it appropriately; if it is too dry, then spray some water into the air.

3. Lighting issues

(1) Reason: This plant is relatively light-loving. Therefore, if the light is too weak, the situation mentioned above may also occur.

(2) Solution: Expose the plants to as much light as possible. Especially in winter, it is best to maintain four or five hours of light every day. In addition, if it is cloudy or rainy, you can artificially increase the lighting time, such as using lights.
