What to do if the peony does not bloom

What to do if the peony does not bloom

1. Improper potting time and method

When potting it, you must choose the right time. If you plant it too late, its roots will grow very slowly, which will affect the normal absorption of the plant, which will affect its flowering next year. In addition, the method must be appropriate when planting. Don't be careless or do it in a hurry, otherwise it will be useless. Generally, before potting, we need to let the seedlings air out for 1 to 2 days to soften the roots, so that they can be easier to prune and plant. Before planting, place a small tile on the small hole at the bottom of the pot to prevent the soil from leaking out, and then spread some small stones to facilitate drainage. Before planting, the roots must be properly disinfected so that it can bloom smoothly.

2. Improper watering

Although it likes water very much, you can't water it too much. Too much water will make its roots unable to absorb water in time, and eventually water will accumulate. The accumulation of water will be extremely bad for its roots, thus affecting its plant growth and flowering. Generally, you should water in moderation, a little less each time, and more frequently. In addition, you cannot water too little. If you water too little, the soil will not be sufficiently moist, which is also not conducive to its growth. So be careful when watering it. If it doesn't bloom, then you can look at the condition of the soil in the pot.

3. Not enough sunshine

Friends who know about it should know that it likes to grow in the sun the most, and the more light it enjoys, the better it will grow, so sufficient light is very important for it. Get at least 4 to 6 hours of sunlight a day. If your peony does not bloom, then you can think about whether it is getting enough light and whether it is often placed in a dark place. If so, you should move it to another place in time and keep it in light all day as much as possible, even in summer, because it is very tolerant to high temperatures.
