How to grow garlic

1. Prepare the container

First prepare a hydroponic container. It doesn’t need to be too deep, and it’s best to be flat and wide, as long as it can cover the garlic. It shouldn’t be too deep, and it must be cleaned and disinfected before use.

2. Choose garlic cloves

Select healthy garlic and peel out the cloves, making sure they are plump and full, so that the survival rate is higher. Remove the outer skin of the garlic and make sure there is no dirt on the bottom. If the garlic already has stems growing on it, you can remove them, making it easier and quicker to grow hydroponically.

3. Water culture

Put garlic cloves in a container with the roots facing downwards. Add clean water to cover the garlic cloves. There is nothing special about the water quality. You can use the water from the drain pipe. It is best to let it stand before use. After completion, place it in a cool place for maintenance and avoid exposure to strong sunlight.

4. Post-maintenance

1. Change water: At the beginning, it is the rooting stage, and there is no need to change water in the first three days. When the water becomes less after a few days, you can change the water inside. After that, you only need to change the water every two days. There is no need to add additional nutrient solution.

2. Temperature: Keep the temperature between 10-25 degrees, which is most suitable. Green stems will grow in about 7 days.
