Common camellia pests and diseases prevention and treatment, camellia pests and diseases medication

1. Ring rot

Ring rot is one of the common diseases of camellia. It mainly harms the leaves of the plant, causing purple-red spots to appear and gradually expand. When it infects the leaf veins, the disease accelerates and causes the leaves to wilt. It is usually caused by bacteria. Before the peak period of the disease, you can spray carbendazim solution for prevention and control. In the early stage of the disease, you need to cut off the diseased leaves and spray the medicine for treatment.

2. Anthrax

Anthracnose is harmful to many plants, and camellia is no exception. This disease often occurs in June and July. After infection, brown spots will appear on the tips or edges of the leaves, which will then spread to the entire leaf and cause it to fall off. If you want to treat it, you need to spray Zineb solution in the early stage of the disease. Phosphorus and potassium fertilizers or organic fertilizers should be applied regularly to improve the plant's disease resistance.

3. Red spider

Red spider mites are one of the common pests. They are distributed in many places in my country. They usually hatch in March and cause more serious damage in April. This pest sucks the sap from its camellia flowers, causing them to grow poorly. In winter, preventive measures should be taken to eliminate overwintering insect eggs. When the insect pest is serious, you can spray trichloronate and other drugs to kill the insects.

4. Leaf Roller

Leaf rollers are also common pests that harm camellia. It often occurs in spring and summer, and the larvae will eat new shoots and other parts, causing the leaves to curl. Since adult insects love sugar and vinegar, they can be trapped and killed. In addition, the larvae can be eliminated by spraying drugs such as chlorpyrifos, or by spraying with a solution of dichlorvos.
