1. Common diseases

1. Botrytis cinerea: If you water frequently or excessively each time during maintenance, the soil will remain moist or even waterlogged for a long time, and the ventilation environment is poor, it is easy to be infected with botrytis cinerea. When discovered, the diseased plants should be disposed of promptly to avoid further infection. In addition, a fungicide is also needed, and you can choose methyl thiophanate or carbendazim.

2. Viral disease: Viral disease is mostly caused by unsterilized planting soil or bacteria in the bulbs. It must be dealt with as soon as possible after discovery. Be sure to disinfect the soil before planting, and the bulbs must also be treated before planting.

3. Root rot: This disease is mostly contracted during the seedling stage. After infection, the roots will soften and rot, and the plant will turn yellow, dry up and die. Pay attention to improving the ventilation environment during management, controlling the humidity, and applying fertilizer regularly to enhance its disease resistance. In addition, root rot should be sprayed in the early stage of the disease.

2. Common Pests

There are many kinds of pests that cyclamen is susceptible to, such as common aphids, thrips, mites, ground flies, scale insects and woodlice, etc. It is mostly caused by improper management. If the plant is kept in a dark and airtight place for a long time and the humidity is high, it will easily become infected. Change the maintenance environment, provide more ventilation and more sunlight. If necessary, spray medicine to prevent further infection.
