Where do white atractylodes seeds come from?

Atractylodes is a plant of the genus Atractylodes family. The plant is 60 cm tall, with a tuberous rhizome and a straight, smooth and hairless stem. It has seeds, which consist of three parts: seed coat, embryo and endosperm. They are formed by pollination and fertilization of the ovule. Atractylodes seeds can grow into mature plants.

From Qingming to Guyu, soak the Atractylodes seeds in room temperature water for 24 hours, stratify them, cover them with a wet cloth for 4-6 days to germinate, provide a temperature of 21-27 degrees, and when the seeds turn white, take out the seeds, wash them with clean water, soak them in a 10% pentachloronitrobenzene solution, and then you can sow them.

Atractylodes seeds can be kept for one year. Atractylodes can keep seeds on its own. The ovules are formed into seeds through pollination and fertilization. When they are mature, they can be harvested and the seeds can be taken out.

In spring, from March to April, select Atractylodes seeds with full grains and no diseases or insect pests, soak them in warm water at 30 degrees for 12 hours, renovate the soil in advance, dig furrows with a row spacing of 15 cm and a depth of about 5 cm, water once, sow the seeds in the furrows, cover with soil after sowing, press down slightly, cover with straw to keep warm and moist, and then water again.

Seedlings will emerge in about a week after sowing. After emergence, remove the covering grass and strengthen field management. They can be transplanted from the winter of the current year to the spring of the following year. When transplanting, trim the roots, dig 8-10 cm deep trenches with a row spacing of 25 cm, plant the seedlings in the soil, compact both sides after planting, and water after planting.
