The money tree and the lucky tree are different. They are not the same plant. The specific differences are reflected in the following five points. 1. Different varietiesThe money tree is also called the chestnut, goose-foot money, and Central American kapok, while the lucky tree is called the Queensland umbrella tree, also known as the Australian Schefflera and the large-leaf umbrella. Although they are somewhat similar, they are not the same plant. 2. Difference between branches and leavesFirst of all, the trunk of the fortune tree is generally thicker, while the trunk of the lucky tree is thinner and shrub-like. Secondly, the leaves of the Lucky Tree are smaller, about ten centimeters in length, with a harder texture, various shapes, and a glossy surface; while the leaves of the Phra Mogao Tree are larger, reaching about twenty centimeters, with a softer texture, more papery, and obvious layers. When the leaves droop, they look like an umbrella. 3. Flower differencesThe flowering period of the money tree is generally in April and May every year, and the flowers come in rich colors, including red, white, and yellow. The color of the flowers of the fortune tree is relatively simple, only white. 4. Difference in originThe money tree is mainly produced in Latin America, while the money tree in China is mainly produced in Taiwan. The money tree is mainly produced in Australia and the Pacific Islands. It is easy to grow and is therefore widely planted in China. 5. Parenting DifferencesThe money tree is easy to plant and does not require much to be maintained, but it does require a lot of fertilizer. After planting it in a pot, it needs to be fertilized once a week. The money tree is afraid of both drought and moisture. It is quite strict about watering and will not be watered unless the soil is dry. |
