Black rot disease of plants

Black rot of white peony is prone to occur in summer, generally because of poor ventilation conditions and growing in a high humidity and high temperature environment, which will lead to the occurrence and increase of black rot. But sometimes it is also caused by scale insect pests.

This disease will cause black spots to appear on the leaves of white peony, which will gradually expand and cause the leaves to rot or affect the roots.

Prevention and treatment methods

When black rot is found in white peony, it should be immediately isolated from other plants.

In the early stage of the disease, you can cut off the rotten parts completely, then apply some fungicides (such as thiophanate-methyl, carbendazim, etc.) on the cut, and then dry the cut after applying the medicine in the sun until it is dry. After it is dry, you can insert loose sand into it.
