Diseases and their prevention and treatment of money tree

Frost damage

Money trees are susceptible to frost damage in winter. In winter, if the temperature drops below 5℃ and the soil in the pot is a little moist, the money tree plant will easily freeze and fall over. In severe cases, it may even cause decay.

In winter, the wintering temperature should be kept above 10℃, and water less to keep the potting soil dry.

Burns

Money tree burns mainly occur in summer or in sunny weather after rain, and when plants that have been grown indoors for a long time are suddenly moved outdoors and exposed to direct strong sunlight. Generally, when burns occur, the leaves of the money tree will turn green and white, and in severe cases, they will turn black. Therefore, it is necessary to provide shade in time when the light is strong.

Brown spot

Brown spot disease often occurs on the leaves of the money tree. The spots on the leaves are round and gray-brown in color. Brown spot disease is generally prone to occur in high temperature, high humidity and poor ventilation conditions.

When brown spot disease occurs, the diseased leaves should be removed in time and sprayed with pesticides. 50% carbendazim wettable powder or 40% thiophanate-methyl suspension are more effective.

Pests of Money Tree and Their Control

Scale insects

A common problem with money trees is damage by scale insects, which can easily break out in a poorly ventilated environment.

In the early stages of scale insect infestation, they need to be killed in a timely manner by spraying special insecticides.
