Disease prevention and control methods of kumquat

Prevention and treatment of kumquat canker

harm

It harms leaves, branches and fruits, causing them to fall and drop. Small yellow stain-like spots appear on the back of the leaves at first, which gradually expand to become nearly circular, with raised sides, rough and woody, with a crack in the center, and finally gray-brown and ulcer-like with a yellow halo around it. Severe cases cause leaf fall. The ulcer bacteria are spread by wind and rain, and are most serious at 20 to 30℃ and in a humid climate.

Prevention and control measures

(1) Apply fertilizer appropriately. Prevent new leaves from growing too fast and enhance disease resistance.

(2) Drug control: First, use 0.25 kg of copper sulfate, 0.5 kg of quicklime, and 50 kg of water to make Bordeaux mixture for spraying. Second, spray with 600 times dilution of mancozeb.

(3) Use 600 times the concentration of thiophanate-methyl (i.e., add 20 ml of the drug to 12.5 kg of water and spray).

(4) Spray 800,000 units of medical streptomycin (i.e. one small bag mixed with about 100 kg of water).

Prevention and Control of Anthracnose of Kumquat

Symptoms of harm

Anthracnose harms leaves, branches and fruits, and in severe cases causes branches to dry up and fruits to fall. This damage to seedlings can cause branches and leaves to fall off, and in severe cases the entire plant will dry up. This disease is common in kumquat bases.

Prevention and control measures

(1) Strengthen cultivation management, enhance tree vigor, apply more organic fertilizer and potassium fertilizer, do a good job of loosening the soil and weeding in the orange orchard, and maintain a moderate degree of moisture and dryness.

(2) Remove diseased leaves and branches, etc.

(3) Use 5% mancozeb 500 to 800 times. Or spray 600 times of Tuijuntai. Spray once every 10 days or so, and use the medicine twice in a row.
