Silver Star Pests - Root Mealybugs

The consequences of silver star encountering root mealybugs

When flower lovers find that their silver star plants are starting to rot and die, they probably wonder if they have watered them too much, but they never think that it is because they have insects.

If you find white flocs on the inner wall of the pot, you should check it carefully. If you can see small white bugs on the roots, there is a high probability that there is an insect infestation - root mealybugs.

How to solve the problem of silver star encountering root mealybugs

Wash the roots. Wash the roots, trim them, dry them, and replant them. Maybe they will survive.

Soil disinfection. Disinfect the soil with high temperature or chemicals to kill insect eggs or reproductive mothers.

Chemical control. Spray or root irrigate with 100 to 200 times dilution of 2.5% Kaisuling suspension, 1000 to 1500 times dilution of 40% Suposulin emulsifiable concentrate, or 700 to 800 times dilution of 25% Acas emulsifiable concentrate.
