Common Phalaenopsis Pests and Their Control

Common Pests and Their Control Methods

Scale insects

If the number is small, the insects can be directly removed manually or wiped off with wet cotton or a brush.

When the number is large, spray 44% concentration of dimethoate emulsion or 2.8% concentration of fenning emulsion, once every 7-10 days, for a total of 2-3 times.

Effective spraying should be carried out when the scale insects are in the larval stage before their wax shells are formed.

Red Spider

First, ventilate the cultivation environment and improve the humidity.

Usually after the eggs hatch, spray 800 times of 20% concentration of trichlorodicofol solution once every 5 days. 2-3 times will have a good effect.

If conditions permit, you can use 1500 times diluted Nisolan as an auxiliary spray, which will have a better prevention and control effect.
