Pepper seed germination method Pepper seedling raising technology and steps

Pepper seeds can be sown directly, but they take a long time to germinate, so the seeds are usually soaked in water for about 6 hours before sowing to shorten the germination time of the seeds in the soil.

Pepper seed germination time

The germination time will vary depending on the time you want to sow peppers. Usually, you start preparing to germinate the pepper seeds 3-5 days before sowing. Germination helps the peppers grow as quickly as possible and improves the survival rate.

Pepper seed germination technology

1. Ordinary germination

After soaking the seeds, wash them repeatedly with clean water to remove the spicy taste, then wrap them with cloth and put them in a pot, then cover them with wet gauze. Control the germination environment temperature to 28-30 degrees. Wash them with warm water twice a day. They usually germinate within 4-5 days.

2. Seed Soaking and Germination

1. Disinfect the seeds, rinse them with water, and place them in 55℃ hot water to kill the germs. Soften the seeds and stir them constantly with chopsticks until the water temperature drops to about 30℃.

2. After that, soak the seeds in water for another 5-6 hours, take them out and put them in a wet towel, and place them in a dark environment at 25-30℃ for germination. Stir-fry the seeds every 4-5 hours, and then wash them with clean water until the seeds turn white.

3. Put the seeds into warm water and stir, and pour out the impurities that float up. Dilute the solution of potassium permanganate water 1,000 times and soak the seeds. Stir continuously, pour out the water after 20 minutes, cover with silk cloth, and sow after 8 hours.
