Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of Clivia

Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of Clivia

1. Excessive watering

1. Reason: Clivia has fleshy roots and is very afraid of water blisters. If you water it too much and water accumulates in the soil, its roots will rot and its leaves will turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: First take it out of the flowerpot and use scissors to cut off the blackened roots and yellowed leaves. Then plant it in new soil without any standing water, and stop watering it for a while until it starts growing again.

2. Too much light

1. Reason: It likes to grow in places with sufficient scattered light and does not like to grow in places with too strong light. If it is grown in a place with strong direct sunlight, its leaves may be burned and turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: First cut off the leaves that have turned yellow, and then build a shade net where it is grown. When the light is very strong, use a shade net to block some of the sunlight.

3. Excessive fertilization

1. Reason: Excessive fertilization may cause the flower fertilizer to remain in the soil without being absorbed in time. They can damage the plant's roots, causing its leaves to turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: First use plenty of clean water to flush the soil to wash away the remaining fertilizer. Then place it in a ventilated location to dry. Do not fertilize or water during this period, and resume the supply of water and fertilizer after it returns to normal.
