Can sunflower seedlings be exposed to the sun? How can they grow healthily?

Can sunflower seedlings be exposed to the sun? How can they grow healthily?

1. Can I sunbathe?

Sunflowers themselves are very light-loving, and even young seedlings cannot do without light. If the seedlings are not exposed to the sun for a long time and are placed in a cool place, they will easily grow too tall, which will affect their later flowering. However, it cannot be exposed to strong sunlight or excessive exposure to the sun, otherwise the seedlings will wither. Generally, two or three hours of sun in the morning is enough, and the midday sun must be blocked.

2. How to grow up healthily

1. Humidity: If you want the seedlings to grow healthily, they naturally need water and they need to keep them moisturized. However, the seedling stage consumes less water, so pay attention to the frequency of watering. Generally, it is enough to water it once every two or three days. Do not let water accumulate in the soil, otherwise it will hinder breathing and affect growth.

2. Temperature: It is not cold-resistant in itself, and the seedlings are even less cold-resistant. Pay attention to the temperature, it is best to maintain it at around 18 degrees, not too low. If the temperature cannot meet the requirements, it is recommended to cover it with plastic film to keep warm. You can open it for ventilation during the day and cover it again at night to avoid frostbite.

3. Notes

Usually the soil used during cultivation contains a certain amount of nutrients to meet the needs of the seedling stage. It is also resistant to barrenness, so no fertilizer is needed at this time. If fertilizer is applied, the seedlings cannot absorb it, which will cause fertilizer damage, easily burn the roots and affect growth. Be careful not to apply.
