What to do if the edges of Anthurium's leaves turn yellow

What to do if the edges of Anthurium's leaves turn yellow

1. Reduce moisture

Cause: The edges of the Anthurium's leaves show signs of yellowing, which may be caused by overwatering. It needs a certain amount of water during normal growth, but if too much water is given, the roots will find it difficult to absorb it and a large amount of water will accumulate at the roots. This will cause the roots to rot and directly affect the leaves.

Solution: When you find that the roots are rotten, you need to prune them properly and remove the black parts. Then control the water content. If there is too much water accumulation, try to promote its discharge.

2. Dilution Fertility

Reason: If you are not careful when applying fertilizer, when the amount of fertilizer is too large or too concentrated, or when raw fertilizer is applied, the roots will find it difficult to absorb it, which will also cause the edges of the leaves to turn yellow.

Solution: Pay attention to applying thin fertilizers frequently and in small concentrations. Once too much fertilizer is applied, timely irrigation is needed to promote drainage. If the situation is serious, you can change the soil and replant.

3. Adjust the lighting

Cause: The edges of the leaves turn yellow, and it may also be due to excessive light, resulting in signs of burns.

Solution: Adjust the light, especially in summer, be sure to block out strong light.

4. Increase humidity

Cause: Excessive dryness in the air can also cause the edges of leaves to turn yellow, especially when the temperature is high.

Solution: Spray water around the plant to keep it moist, which can increase the humidity in the air and alleviate the yellowing of the edges.
