What to do if the leaves of green radish turn yellow in summer

What to do if the leaves of green radish turn yellow in summer

1. Proper watering

Reason: Excessive watering will cause water accumulation in the potting soil. The roots will rot if they grow in the water for a long time. After the roots rot, the leaves will turn yellow and lose their luster.

Solution: Control the amount of watering, loosen the soil appropriately and place it in a well-ventilated place for maintenance. Usually, you should control the amount of watering to avoid unnecessary moisture in the potting soil. You can also spray water on the leaves frequently to keep them moist.

2. Moderate light

Reason: The sunlight is strong in the summer, and overexposure to the sun can cause the leaves to turn yellow, the leaf tips or edges to dry out and have yellow spots. If the leaves are kept in a dark environment for a long time, they will not be able to carry out photosynthesis, which will also cause the leaves to turn yellow.

Solution: Take shading measures and move it to the east or north balcony to avoid direct sunlight. When growing indoors, place it in a place with diffuse light and remove the yellow leaves.

3. Apply fertilizer appropriately

Reason: Excessive fertilizer application at too high a concentration in summer will cause the leaves of the green radish to turn yellow and dull, and some old leaves may even fall off.

Solution: When fertilizing the green radish, use nitrogen fertilizer mainly. Apply 2-3 times a month during the seedling stage to promote growth. After it is formed, apply once a month. If excessive fertilizer is applied, flush it in time to reduce fertilizer.
