1. Causes of frostbite

Because this plant originally grows in tropical rain forests, where there is humid air and relatively warm temperatures, it is more afraid of the cold. Therefore, when the temperature is below fifteen degrees, it may stop growing, and when the temperature is below ten degrees, it is very likely to be frostbitten.

2. Solutions

1. If it is frostbitten, the most direct way is to increase its maintenance temperature. As long as its leaves are not all withered, we can save it. Moreover, the leaves of frostbitten plants will generally dry up, so it is necessary to move it to a warmer place, cut off its damaged leaves, and then add some fertilizer. Don't water it casually at this time. If you want to water it, wait until new leaves grow out.

2. North

If it is in the north, there will be heating, so we put it indoors. Just sprinkle some water on its leaves and around it every day to keep the humidity in it and the surrounding area good. In addition, we can wipe its leaves with banana peels or beer at any time, so that the leaves will be greener and will recover from frostbite.

3. South

There is no heating in the south, so when the temperature is below fifteen, you should reduce watering and wait until the soil is dry before watering again. Moreover, you should use water at about twenty degrees each time you water. This way, the plants will not be injured by sudden exposure to cold water.

Because it will grow slowly at this time, you can consider applying fertilizer to it, you can use urea or Huaduoduo. Our recommendation is to apply it once every half a month, and it is recommended to be applied at noon.

If the temperature here is even lower, below ten degrees, you need to keep it warm. Cover it with a plastic bag at night to keep it warm. Move it to a place where it can be exposed to light during the day. In this place, it can receive light and provide its own nutrients.
