What to do if the leaves of azalea turn yellow

1. Increase the temperature

Reason: In winter, if azalea is placed in a place below 10℃ for a long time, or is blown directly by cold wind, it may be frostbitten and produce yellow leaves.

Solution: First move it to a place where the indoor temperature is above 10℃, then cut off the frozen branches and leaves, and maintain it slowly.

2. Reduce watering

Reason: If you water the azalea too much, water will accumulate in the soil. This accumulated water will affect the breathing of the azalea roots and make it unable to obtain nutrients from the soil. Without the nourishment of nutrients, its leaves are likely to turn yellow.

Solution: Raise the flower pot with stones and place it in a ventilated place to allow excess moisture in the soil to evaporate. Don't water it too much when you grow it afterwards.

3. Timely pruning

Reason: Rhododendron grows vigorously and needs to be pruned once a year. If it is not pruned, it will grow very lush, and the branches and leaves will block each other, affecting ventilation and light transmission, so that some leaves do not get enough oxygen and light, and then turn yellow.

Solution: Prune azaleas in time. It is best to prune once a year after flowering, thinning out the densely planted areas and removing sick and weak branches.

4. Water with acidic water

Reason: Azalea is a flower that likes acidic conditions. If it is watered with alkaline water for a long time, it will have yellow leaves.

Solution: Use acidic water to water it, or add a few drops of vinegar to the water.
