What to do if the leaves of Allium orchid turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of Allium orchid turn yellow

1. Poor root breathing

Although it likes moisture, it is actually more suitable for soil cultivation. If its leaves turn yellow, it is very likely that the roots are not breathing smoothly. You need to check whether the roots are rotten: take it out, remove the rotten roots and leaves, apply some wood ash on the cut area of the roots, then dry it and plant it in the pot. To keep the soil in the pot moist and not too dry, cover it with plastic film for a week, and then you can take care of it normally after removing it. Let it see more sunlight and maintain the temperature so that it can grow roots quickly.

2. Normal Physiological Phenomena

In the summer, many of its plants on the ground will die and will not grow again until autumn. In hot seasons, when the daytime temperature is above 35°C, if you place it directly under the sun, it will stop growing or go into semi-dormancy, and the leaves will slowly turn yellow and fall off due to burns. So in summer, you need to block half of the sunlight for it.

If it is placed indoors, try to place it in a bright area, such as a balcony with good light. After curing it indoors for about two months, you should move it to a shaded location outdoors for about a month. Alternate between the two. If it is winter, keep it warm.

3. Excessive watering

If it is caused by too much watering, you should control the watering, loosen the soil appropriately, and don't use too much force. This will help it drain water, allow air to circulate, and help its roots grow. If the soil turns white or has cracks, water it thoroughly. It is afraid of too strong light, and a semi-shaded area is best. Don't keep it indoors all the time, as the leaves will turn yellow. You can move it outside from time to time to get a few hours of sun, but it's best to move it out in the morning.

IV. Precautions

In fact, it is very easy to grow. If its leaves are withered but the roots are not dead, you can cut off its leaves and place it in a cool place to let its leaves grow out and then slowly see the sun. It works better when grown in soil. If it is hydroponically grown, it will turn yellow easily.
