What to do if rosemary leaves dry up

What to do if rosemary leaves dry up

Seedling stage

Newly purchased plants will go through a seedling acclimatization period, which is when they adapt to the environment. During this period, the leaves may turn yellow or dry up. After a period of time, it will gradually ease. Just place the plant in a cool environment during this period, reduce watering and fertilizing, and wait for it to adapt to the environment before maintaining it normally.

Improper ventilation

Rosemary is suitable for growing in a warm environment, but a hot and stuffy environment with poor ventilation will lead to slow growth. Rosemary grows slowly to begin with. If the temperature is high and ventilation is inadequate, its growth will be further inhibited. Yellowing and drying of leaves is just the beginning. If not ventilated in time, the entire plant will become a weed.

Insufficient light

Rosemary likes sunlight and needs to receive at least 6 hours of sunlight a day. If there is insufficient light, the leaf photosynthesis produces less green color, the leaves become dark yellow, and the plant's own nutrients are insufficient. Over time, the leaves will gradually dry up and become easily infected by various diseases and pests.

Pests and diseases

Rosemary leaves are narrow and lush, so it is difficult to observe insects on the leaves. In fact, some insects specifically find loopholes and attach themselves to the back of the narrow leaves, making them difficult to observe. Therefore, during maintenance, keep the environment clean and tidy, ventilate frequently, spray fungicides regularly, clean up the dead leaves on the surface of the potting soil in time, and cut off excessive and aging dead branches and leaves.
