How to plant egg fruit? Egg yolk fruit planting technology and management skills

The egg fruit is also called the egg yolk fruit. It can be eaten directly or made into a fragrant and delicious drink. The egg fruit is known as the "king of juice". Many people grow egg fruits. So how do you grow egg fruits?

temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for egg fruit is 20℃~30℃, and it generally grows well at a temperature not lower than 0℃. If the temperature reaches -2℃, the plant will be seriously damaged or even die. Areas with an annual average temperature above 18℃ are most suitable for planting and are easy to obtain high yields. Therefore, it is widely distributed in warm and humid areas in southern China, especially in Hainan .

Moisture

Generally, the egg fruit grows best when the annual rainfall is between 1500 and 2000 mm and is evenly distributed, while in commercial planting areas, it should not be less than 1000 mm.

In addition, the egg fruit is relatively drought-resistant , but it still needs irrigation in case of drought. If the soil is too dry, it will affect the development of vines and fruits. In severe cases, the branches will wilt, the fruits will not develop and will fall. However, during the rainy season, pay attention to drainage to avoid water accumulation and root rot.

illumination

As a tropical fruit, the passion fruit prefers sufficient sunlight to promote branch growth and nutrient accumulation, and long-day conditions are conducive to the flowering of the passion fruit.

Generally, in areas with 2300 to 2800 hours of sunshine per year, the egg fruit grows well, accumulates more nutrients, grows branches and vines quickly, bears fruit early, and produces high yields.

soil

The egg fruit has strong adaptability and is not demanding on soil. However, for large-scale production, the loam layer should be at least 0.5 meters, and the soil should be fertile, loose, and well-drained, with a soil pH of 5.5 to 6.5.
