What fertilizer is better for pear trees?

Pear trees are deciduous trees with strong growth habits, great potential, strong adaptability, and a variety of varieties. The suitable temperature range for growth is between 15℃-25℃, and different types of pear trees have different adaptability to temperature. So what kind of fertilizer is better for fertilizing pear trees ?

1. Organic fertilizer

The main component of pear tree base fertilizer can loosen the soil and reduce the soil's resistance to root growth. It is applied after harvesting in autumn and before budding in spring, accounting for more than half of the annual fertilizer application.

2. Nitrogen fertilizer

In the early stages of pear tree growth, namely during budding, branching, leafing, flowering and fruit setting, a larger amount is needed. Nitrogen fertilizer can promote new shoot growth and leaf development.

3. Phosphate fertilizer

A one-time application in spring or autumn will help root development and flower bud differentiation.

4. Potash fertilizer

It is especially important during the fruit expansion period of pear trees, as it can improve fruit quality and stress resistance and reduce fruit drop. Potassium fertilizer is applied during the second and third top dressing.

5. Compound fertilizer

Fertilizers containing two or three of the three elements nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium should be selected according to the growth stage of the pear tree and the soil fertility conditions. For example, 18-15-10 (N-P2O5-K2O) or compound fertilizer with similar formula.

6. Trace element fertilizer

Such as boron, zinc, iron, etc., which are particularly important for pear orchards that lack these elements and can be supplemented through foliar fertilization.

7. Water-soluble fertilizer

Use it during the peak growth period of pear trees, it will be effective quickly and have a high absorption and utilization rate. It can be used for foliar fertilization to increase the fruit setting rate.

8. Notes

Organic fertilizer and chemical fertilizer should be applied deeply, about 20-60cm deep into the soil. Monitor the nutritional status of the soil and trees and adjust the fertilization plan in a timely manner. Water should be applied immediately after fertilization to help the absorption and utilization of the fertilizer.

In summary, fertilizing pear trees should take into account the specific needs and soil conditions of the tree, as well as the nutritional requirements at different growth stages.
