1. Spring

Sorghum can be sown in the spring from March to May, when the climatic conditions are conducive to seed germination and seedling growth.

2. Autumn

August to October in autumn is also a suitable time to sow sorghum, especially in northern regions. Sowing in autumn can achieve better growth in the spring of the following year.

1. Soil selection

Sorghum prefers to grow in fertile, well-drained soil and should not be grown in an environment that is too wet or too dry.

2. Preparation before sowing

Before sowing, the land needs to be deeply plowed, sufficient organic fertilizer should be applied, and the soil should be kept moist.

3. Sowing method

Row sowing or hole sowing can be used, with a sowing rate of 1.5 to 2.0 kg per 667 square meters, a sowing depth of 3 cm, and a row spacing of 15 to 30 cm.

4. Field management

After emergence, thinning and transplanting should be carried out according to density requirements. The first mowing should be done 35 to 45 days after emergence, and the stubble height should be 10 to 15 cm.

5. Fertilization points

Sorghum has a well-developed root system and a strong ability to absorb fertilizer. In addition to base fertilizer, it also needs regular application of urea, as well as nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers .

6. Cutting and utilization
