What to do if the rubber tree is frozen

What to do if the rubber tree is frozen

1. Room temperature

Although it is frozen, we cannot put it directly under the heater or air conditioner, as this will cause it to get burned. Generally speaking, we just need to place it in a place where the temperature is above ten degrees, so that it can recover on its own. In fact, it has a strong ability to withstand cold, and it will not be frozen as long as the temperature conditions are not too harsh.

2. Watering

Because the temperature will prevent it from continuing to grow, its requirement for water is not that high. We should not water it frequently at this time, otherwise its leaves will turn black and the roots will rot. And it is best to ensure that the humidity of the air is not too high, because it actually prefers drier air. So if it gets frostbitten, we must control the water.

3. Windproof

If it is frostbitten, we should block the wind around it, especially the cold wind can easily blow it away, and its leaves will fall off. So we can put it in a good location, or we can cover it with a bag, and when the temperature is higher and the weather is better, we can make a hole in it to let it breathe. Of course, we can also clamp it with a clip and release the clip when the temperature is slightly higher.

4. Grafting

If the above methods do not work, we can also take a method, which is grafting. Please note that this method is not a panacea and should not be used when the roots are affected.
