How to fertilize Jade Plant, what to do if Jade Plant grows too big after fertilization

How to fertilize Jade Plant, what to do if Jade Plant grows too big after fertilization

1. Fertilization method

The specific method of fertilizing it depends on the season. If it is in the peak growth season, that is, spring and autumn, the growth rate is fast and the amount of fertilizer required is also high, so fertilizer should be applied every 15 to 20 days. Just use diluted liquid fertilizer. Note that heavy or concentrated fertilizers are strictly prohibited. The temperature in summer is too high and it is not suitable for fertilization. It is recommended to reduce the frequency and amount of fertilization. The temperature in winter is very low, and the plant growth is slow or even stops. It is necessary to stop fertilizing, otherwise the roots will easily burn and cause fertilizer damage.

2. What to do if the fertilizer is too much

1. Water and dilute: Its growth cannot be separated from nutrients, and it must be fertilized to grow more vigorously. However, if too much fertilizer is applied, it will be difficult for the plant to absorb it, and it will easily burn the roots and hinder its growth. It is recommended to irrigate with clean water as soon as possible, so as to dilute the fertilizer contained in the soil. The fertilizer liquid should be discharged after dilution. In the later stage, just ventilate more and it will slowly recover.

2. Remove from the pot and change the soil: If the hypertrophy phenomenon is too serious and the plant has been damaged, it is recommended to remove from the pot and change the soil. Remove the plant from the potting soil and replace all the original soil with loose, well-permeable soil. This will prevent further damage, otherwise the entire plant may die. Please note that if you find hypertrophy, you should treat it as soon as possible to avoid it from getting worse.
