Saffron planting time and technology, what should be paid attention to

1. Planting time

In order to improve the survival rate of saffron planting, the planting time is very critical. The right time can provide a suitable climate environment and promote later growth. The best time to plant is around September in autumn, when the climate is relatively cool, neither too cold nor too hot, which is very suitable for planting. Because our country has a large area, there are certain differences in planting time. The planting time in the north can be earlier, while the planting time in the south can be later.

2. Select seeds

You need to choose good seeds for planting. You can go directly to the seed store to buy good quality seeds, remove the dry and damaged seeds, and select the plump, full and thick seeds. Such seeds can ensure the quality of growth.

3. Germination treatment

Prepare warm water and soak the selected seeds in it first. After the seed skin absorbs water, you can take them out and put them in a warm place to germinate. After germination, you can sow them.

4. Soil Preparation

The soil for planting cannot be a single type of soil. Garden soil can be used as the main soil, mixed with fine sand, leaf mold, and a little base fertilizer. For the purpose of disinfection, appropriate carbendazim solution should also be added.

5. Planting

After the soil is prepared, you can sow the germinated seeds, cover them with soil, water them, and take good care of them.

6. Notes

When the temperature drops and winter comes, you need to take good warming measures to prevent the plants from being frozen.
